It also has a series of assemblies entitled “What is democracy?”
This Democracy theme builds on the work schools do on developing children’s understanding of British Values. It details specific Learning Outcomes for Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2.
A key feature of Mirror Assemblies are the presentations with music that encourage pupils to think about aspects or moods or emotions that are covered in the following assembly. These have been much appreciated by purchasing and trial schools and even commented on by Ofsted!
